Belarus plans to vaccinate children over 12 years old against COVID-19

The Ministry of Health of Belarus is considering the issue of mandatory vaccination of children from 12 years old against coronavirus, minsknews.by reports.

According to the head physician of the Minsk City Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology Svetlana Ermak, children will be vaccinated with the consent of their parents. It is planned to introduce mandatory vaccination against coronavirus for children from the age of 12 next year.

The Sputnik V vaccine will be used for children in a five-fold dilution, as is happening now in Russia.

The head physician also suggested the possibility of introducing imported vaccines, for which the Ministry of Health is currently considering purchases, but did not specify which ones.
