Belarus raises base rate

According to the Ministry of Labor, the gradual increase in the base rate in Belarus continues – and this directly affects the salaries of state employees, Citydog.by writes.

From April 1, the base rate will be BYN209 (instead of BYN208), from May 1 — BYN210. In Belarus, the salaries of doctors, social workers, teachers and other employees of state organizations are tied to the base rate, so they will also grow. Already in April, 850 thousand state employees will receive increased salaries.

BYN27 million will be allocated from the budget to increase the base rate from March to May.
