Belarus ratified an agreement on mutual recognition of visas with Russia
Within the framework of the fourth session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the seventh convocation, the Belarusian side ratified the Agreement on the mutual recognition of visas with Russia, reports Onliner.by. The next step is for the Russian side.
The session discussed the Agreement between the Governments of Belarus and Russia on the mutual recognition of visas and on other issues related to the entry of foreign citizens and stateless people on the territory of the states, who are parties to the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State.
After the Agreement is ratified by both parties, foreign citizens and stateless people will have the right to enter, leave, stay, transit through the territory of Belarus and Russia on the basis of a visa of one of the states and on the basis of identity documents.
The agreement will enter into force 30 days after ratification by both states.
The agreement will not affect the visa-free regime in Belarus for foreign citizens who enter the country through the Minsk National Airport.
