Belarus significantly expands exchange trade with the Middle East
During the first five months of 2026, the value of exchange-traded transactions between Belarusian companies and partners from Middle Eastern countries increased 2.5 times, reaching $95 million, BelTA reports.
Most of the turnover was driven by exports of Belarusian products, including food items, timber, and industrial raw materials.
The growth reflects stronger economic ties between Belarus and the Middle East and the continued expansion of export markets for Belarusian goods.
The increase in foreign participants on the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange and the entry into new markets, including Oman, further highlight the country’s growing international trade opportunities.
