Belarus switched to its own software to protect information

The director of the Research Institute of Technical Information Protection said that Belarus has replaced foreign means of information protection with domestic or Russian ones, Devby.io reported.

By law, the owner or operator of an information system processing personal data must ensure their protection from leaks. Western sanctions have restricted Belarus' access to imported information security tools, but there are analogues of local development in the country.

"Recently, we have carried out a large amount of work, thanks to which we have been provided with domestic or Russian means that successfully perform all the functions of information protection," added the director of the Research Institute.

The Belarusian manufacturer of electronics and household appliances HORIZONT will begin mass production of laptops in December.
