Belarus to export 5 million tons of cargo from Murmansk port
In 2023, 5-7 million tons of Belarusian cargo, primarily potash fertilizers, will be exported from the port in Murmansk (Russia), Sputnik wrote. Cargo will be sent both to the west and to the east.
Last year, Belarus rebuilt its logistics routes for export cargo, now they are sent to 20 Russian ports.
In addition, a site for the construction of a Belarusian terminal in the port of Murmansk will be selected in May.
The port has an icebreaking fleet, which helps ships in difficult weather conditions. In this regard, it is the key port in Russia for the export.
Belarus will also develop cooperation with Sudan.
