Belarus to introduce electronic sick leave by 2025

Belarus plans to introduce electronic sick leave in 2024-2025, Yulia Berdnikova, manager of the Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labor, told BelTA.

It is planned to create a zone for testing, and in the future, the introduction of an electronic sick leave format should simplify procedures for employers and the Fund for the payment of Temporary Disability Benefits.

Electronic sick leave involves the transfer of information about an employee's illness to a digital fund, ensuring more effective interaction between doctors, employers and social authorities.
