Belarus to join SCO within a month

Belarus has become the first country to implement a fast algorithm for joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. According to the representative of the Belarusian International Affairs Commission, the whole procedure can be completed within a month, Sputnik reported.

The Belarusian side has already joined more than two dozen documents of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

On Wednesday, the deputies are considering and preparing to adopt a memorandum on Belarus' obligations to obtain the status of a SCO member state.

By April 15, 2024, Belarus must join all documents within the SCO.
