Belarus to join two UN councils

Belarus has been elected to the commission of the Economic Council, as well as the commission of the UN Social Council for 2024-2028, BelTA reported.

Belarus will join the Commission on Population and Development, as well as the Commission for Social Development. These commissions are among the key subsidiary functional bodies of ECOSOC.

The commissions will solve problems in the field of population, human development, poverty reduction and social inequality, and building social justice.

The Embassy of Zimbabwe has recently opened in Minsk.
