Belarus to open embassy in Equatorial Guinea

The Belarusian embassy in Equatorial Guinea will open until August 1, 2024, Sputnik reported.

Earlier in October 2023, the opening of the embassy was announced by the Belarusian Foreign Minister during a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Equatorial Guinea in Minsk. Also in September 2023, the President of Equatorial Guinea visited Minsk for the first time, and in December the President of Belarus paid a return visit.

The Belarusian authorities see Equatorial Guinea as a hub for the supply of Belarusian products to neighboring countries of Central and West Africa in the future.

In 2024, Belarus will also build several factories and laboratories in Equatorial Guinea.
