Belarus to send 28 athletes to Beijing Winter Olympics

Belarus will participate in competitions in six sports, BELTA writes.

There will be 10 athletes in biathlon, one person in alpine skiing, 5 in speed skating, 4 in cross-country skiing, 2 in figure skating, 6 in freestyle. Since there are still more than two weeks before the start of the Games, changes may occur in the composition of the team.

The XXIV Winter Olympic Games will be held in the Chinese capital from February 4 to 20. Medals will be awarded in seven sports and in 109 disciplines. For the first time the Games will feature competitions in women's freestyle, men's and women's snowboarding, mixed relay in short track and women's single races in bobsleigh.
