Belarus to send astronaut to Russia for training

Belarus plans to train new astronaut on the Roscosmos base, BELTA writes.

This issue is handled by the Department of Aerospace Activities in the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Now they are working on selecting a candidate not only for flight, but also for conducting scientific research.

In the first half of 2022, a joint training plan with Roscosmos for the Belarusian astronaut will be signed. To do this, a special interdepartmental commission will be created at the Academy of Sciences.
