The World Happiness Report was first released in 2012 with UN support. It evaluates 156 countries and takes into account the following indicators: GDP per capita, social support, life expectancy, perception of corruption, etc.
The top ten included Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, New Zealand, Austria and Luxembourg.
The most unhappy countries were Afghanistan (153rd), South Sudan (152), Zimbabwe (151) and Rwanda (150).
