Belarus will issue preferential loans for higher education

The government has signed a decree on the rules for granting preferential loans for higher education to citizens of Belarus, BelTA reported.

It will be possible to get a loan to pay for the first higher education and only at state universities. The main condition is that a monthly income should not exceed Br1186.5. Interest rates and other details of lending have not yet been specified.

The resolution also prescribes new rules for signing an education contract. One of them concerns foreign citizens: the university is obliged to explain all the points of the contract, as well as invite an interpreter if necessary.
