Belarus will regulate prices in a new way

Approaches to price regulation have been changed in Belarus. Now prices will be regulated for some non-food products and medicines, the Minsk-News agency writes with reference to the Government's  Telegram channel.

To increase the price of essential goods and medicines from the new list by more than 1.2% per month, it is necessary to obtain the consent of the Commission on regulation of prices.

Also prices regulation for certain non-food products has been introduced: soap, toilet paper, paper napkins, diapers, hygiene bags, synthetic detergents and powdered cleaning products, toothpaste, children's shoes and hosiery.

To minimize the increase in selling prices, the maximum sizes of wholesale and trade allowances for meat, bread, and pasta have been reduced by 5%. At the same time, the amount of allowances is agreed with representatives of large retail chains. In addition, amendments have been made to the price regulation of fruit and vegetable products.
