Belarus will start developing mineral reserves

In Belarus, under the conditions of sanctions and the situation on the markets, they are forming the exploration of their own minerals, BelTA reported.

During the meeting of the Council of Ministers, the President drew attention to the development of the mineral reserve base in the conditions of the cessation of supplies of some types of raw materials due to sanctions, as well as a significant increase in prices.

There are already deposits of clay in Belarus, which is used for the production of tiles and sanitary products. It is planned that by the end of 2022, mining will provide the necessary amount of clay for production.

The President also said that the issue of reserves development will be dealt with in the near future. Despite the small number of mineral deposits in the country, they can be developed more efficiently.
