Belarusian Alfa-Bank closes access to the Moscow Exchange
Belarusian Alfa-Bank offered to terminate trust transactions in Russian rubles, as the bank could not conduct transactions on behalf of clients on the Moscow Exchange due to restrictions, Sputnik reported.
The reason is that the Belarusian Alfa-Bank is more than 60% owned by ABH Belarus Limited, which is registered in Cyprus. This jurisdiction has been declared unfriendly for Russia.
According to the classification of the National Bank, Belarusian Alfa-Bank is included in the second group of systemically important banks.
