Belarusian astronaut to take part in simulation of moon flight
Eight people were selected to participate in the simulation of a flight to the moon. Among the participants is be Belarusian Olga Mastitskaya, Sputnik reported.
The SIRIUS international project is being conducted in Russia and includes a series of isolation experiments to simulate flights in space.
The crew includes six Russians, and a Belarusian and an Egyptian. Candidates have already started initial training and data collection. As part of the experiment, they will need to undergo a year of isolation.
The preparation of Belarusian cosmonauts for a flight to the ISS in 2024 has recently begun.
