Belarusian banks issued 10% more cards
In the second quarter of 2022, the peak of Russian card tourism occurred after Visa and Mastercard had left the Russian market in March. In Belarus, the annual increase in cards turned out to be the maximum since 2018, devby.io reported.
In the 2nd quarter, Belarusian banks increased the number of cards by 11.52%, to 17 million units. In April–June 2021, the number of cards decreased by 1.03%, in the 2nd quarter of 2020 — increased by 0.9%.
