Belarusian banks to include new data in credit histories

The list of information that will get into the credit histories of bank customers will be expanded. Now the Parliament is discussing a new draft of amendments to the law on credit histories, Sputnik reported.

If the new law is adopted, the National Bank will have access to expanded data. For example, credit history will include transactions with companies that sell goods in installments, as well as with online borrowing platforms.

The National Bank will be able to request from the source of the credit history formation documents confirming the accuracy of the information provided. Also, a person will have the right to prohibit the provision of their credit history data.
