Belarusian basketball players beat Turks at the start of World Cup qualification
The basketball team of Belarus has successfully started in the qualifying tournament of World Cup 2023, minsknews.by reports.
Belarusians confidently held a home game and completed it with a victory over Turkey with the score 84:70 (20:17, 23:17, 18:19, 23:17).
The best players in the national team of Belarus became Maksim Salash, Artem Parakhouski and Eugene Belenkov.
Rostislav Vergun's wards will hold their next match on November 28 in Thessaloniki against the Greek national team.
The top three teams from each quartet will advance to the next round of the 2023 World Cup qualifying tournament. 12 representatives of Europe will win tickets to the World Cup.
The final stage of the 19th Men's Planetary Basketball Forum will be held from August 25 to September 10, 2023 at the arenas of Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines. 32 teams from all continents will take part in it.
