Belarusian books now stored in Alexandria Library of Egypt
Belarus donated 12 miniature copies of rare books telling about the culture of the country to the New Library of Alexandria (Egypt), Minsk-News reported.
Books by Yanka Kupala, Yakub Kolas, Maxim Bogdanovich, Francysk Skaryna and other famous representatives of Belarusian literature will be displayed at the honorary exposition in the New Library of Alexandria.
The collection also has Arabic manuscripts, Belarusian old printed editions, handwritten books of Belarusian Muslims, ancient manuscripts and autographs of famous authors.
In addition, the Egyptian side was interested in Belarusian scientific literature on engineering, medicine and IT specialties. The Egyptians are ready to translate those books into Arabic.
