Belarusian chess players allowed to join international tournaments

The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has allowed athletes from Belarus to compete under the organization's flag in individual tournaments until January 1, 2025, Sputnik reported.

This permit applies to athletes who already perform in a neutral status.

At the moment, Belarusian boxers, weightlifters, golfers, rowers and representatives of some other sports can also participate in international competitions in a neutral status.
