Belarusian Chess Players Earn Medals in Peru

Minsk chess player Denis Lazavik delivered a strong performance at the U20 rapid and blitz championships in Lima, Peru, taking silver and bronze medals, Minsk-News notifies.

In rapid, he narrowly missed the top spot behind two players from Uzbekistan, and in blitz he again secured a place on the podium.

Belarusian female players also achieved success: Varvara Polyakova earned bronze in rapid, while Alexandra Tarasenko claimed bronze in blitz.
