Belarusian messenger Viber introduces a new function

Viber is going to introduce a new function "disappearing messages" in the messenger, reports tut.by. The function will make communication between users more secure.

This function has already been available in secret chats since 2017 and has become very popular among Viber users. However, now the company has decided to introduce the function in open chats as well.

The essence of the function is that the user can set a timer on the sent message (text, photo, video or document), and then when the time is over, the message will be deleted from the correspondence. The user can set the timer for a couple of seconds or for several days. The timer starts immediately after the person on the other end reads the message.

The purpose of this function is to ensure the safety of communication between Viber users.
