Belarusian Olga Mastitskaya joined simulated flight to the moon

Olga Mastitskaya became a crew member in a Russian experiment to simulate a flight to the Moon, which will take 365 days, Sputnik reported. Initially, Mastitskaya took part in the selection of Belarusian cosmonauts for a flight to the ISS, which will take place in March 2024.

Six crew members will spend a whole year in the experimental installation of the SIRIUS-23 project, which simulates a spacecraft. They will simulate emergency situations and simulate a landing on the moon five times. In addition, 18 experiments in psychology and 11 in microbiology will take place.
