Belarusian Railway will sell tickets to Russia using a dynamic pricing system

Since December 12, the Belarusian Railway has been introducing dynamic pricing for the sale of tickets in compartment cars and sleeping cars for all trains to Russia, with the exception of train No. 2/1 Minsk – Moscow. The project is being implemented jointly with Russian Railways, minsknews.by reports.

The ticket price will be formed depending on the occupancy of seats in the car, the period of purchase of the travel document. The higher the occupancy rate, the higher the ticket price will be.

"The recalculation of employment coefficients is carried out online with each new registration or return of travel documents. The system provides both a maximum discount of up to 24% (depending on the passenger's route) 60 (45) days before the departure of a particular train, and an 8% surcharge when booking a ride less than 3 hours before the departure of the train and when loading the car over 81%" - the press center of the Belarusian Railways reported.

When buying round trip tickets, the system of discounts and surcharges will not work. Also, dynamic pricing will not apply to cases when tickets are bought by "organized groups of passengers".
