Belarusian-Russian satellite will be launched in 2028

The launch of the Belarusian-Russian Earth remote sensing satellite is scheduled for 2028, Sputnik reported.

According to the expert, the timing of the launch depends on how quickly it will be possible to purchase the necessary components. Despite this, 97% of the components for the satellite are manufactured in Belarus and Russia.

The preliminary design of the spacecraft has now been completed and the working design has begun. Russia has allocated funds for the implementation of the next stage.

The flight of the Belarusian cosmonaut into orbit, scheduled for autumn, may be postponed.
