Belarusian schoolchildren will be taught financial literacy

A manual on financial literacy for schoolchildren was published in Belarusminsknews.by reports.

The educational and methodological manual "Fundamentals of financial literacy" is intended for conducting electives in grades 8-9 of secondary school. The set was prepared by the National Bank, the Ministry of Education and the BSU team of authors.

It consists of a manual for students and a manual for teachers. The kit is recommended for use in the educational process.

According to the press service of the National Bank, the manuals contain theoretical material and practical tasks on financial literacy. They cover the topics of the family or personal budget, savings, insurance, loans, financial professions, money circulation, digital banking, investments, taxes.

By order of the National Bank, 6 thousand copies of the set were printed, which will be transferred to the libraries of general secondary education institutions. The electronic version is freely available on the Unified Portal of Financial Literacy and on the National Educational Portal.
