Belarusian scientific expedition to go to Antarctica

At the end of October, the Belarusian scientific expedition will go to Antarctica for the 15th time, Minsk-News reported. Recently, the journal of the Belarusian State University "Geography. Geology" was included in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure database.

To conduct research at the South Pole, a team of 12 people gathered, among whom there are both experienced polar explorers and beginners. During the implementation of the program by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, experts will study the composition of the atmosphere, flora and fauna of the continent. Also, in cooperation with Russian colleagues, the construction of the Belarusian Antarctic Station will continue.

In order to be able to conduct continuous scientific research, Belarusian scientists plan to switch to a year-round stay in Antarctica.
