Belarusian shops and banks will accept payment cards "Mir"

Belarusian shops and banks will accept cards of the Russian payment system "Mir",  minsknews.by reports.

Starting from January 1, 2022, as part of the integration of the Russian system and the internal Belarusian BELCARD, the country's banks are required to provide service for cards “Mir” in all payment terminals in trade (service) organizations, payment terminals at cash withdrawal points, ATMs and newly installed self-service payment terminals.

And from January 1, 2023, banks providing Internet acquiring services will also be required to accept bank cards of the “Mir” payment system.

This will expand the opportunities of business entities to sell goods (works, services) on websites in the Belarusian segment of the Internet to “Mir” cardholders.
