Belarusian synchronized swimmer Vasilina Khondoshko won the first medal at the World Championships
Vasilina Khondoshko became the first athlete in the history of Belarusian synchronized swimming to win a medal at the World Championships, Belarus Today informs.
At competitions in Qatar, she competed in synchronized swimming among soloists and won bronze. The athlete presented a difficult program, earning second points for difficulty, despite low marks for artistry.
This is not Vasilina's first success: in 2021, she won bronze at the European Championships and reached the final of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, where she took 11th place in a duet with Daria Kulagina. Vasilina started practicing synchronized swimming at the age of five and, thanks to the dedication and support of her parents, was able to achieve success at the highest level.
