Belarusians began to adopt children more often

By the end of 2022, the number of adopted children in Belarus increased by 17% compared to 2021. Now, 7,385 children live in the families with adoptive parents, Sputnik reported.

In addition, there are 309 family-type orphanages in Belarus, where 1,828 children live. There are also foster families with 2,661 children in their care. Only 88% of orphaned children are brought up in families.

Social services continue to work on creating conditions for disabled children to live in family-type orphanages.
