Belarusians choose sanatoriums for recreation more often

According to the Ministry of Sports and Tourism, since the beginning of 2022, domestic tourism has increased by 2.7% throughout Belarus.

Belarusians began to come to sanatoriums more often not for treatment, but for recreation. Previously, sanatoriums were associated with therapeutic purposes. Sanatoriums are loaded on average by 91%. Among the visitors in 2022, there were 1.5 thousand foreigners.

Over the past six months, more than 1.9 thousand citizens of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland have visited Belarusian sanatoriums, while last year there were about 400 people during the same period.
