Belarusians have won five Sambo World Cup medals

Belarusians won five bronze medals out of ten possible on the first day of the Sambo World Cup in Yerevan, BelTA informs.

The bronze medalists were Igor Miroevsky, Vladislav Sayapin, Alexander Koksha, Sergey Lesyak and Ilya Zhupikov. In the evening of the same day, the finals of men's and women's sports sambo will take place.

The second day of the tournament will include performances by Belarusian athletes, who will also compete for medals. The World Cup in Armenia is a qualification stage, where participants score the first points in the ranking of the current season, and it is one of the stages of selection for the World Games for combat sambo wrestlers.
