Belarusians Purchased Over 14,000 Electric Vehicles in a Year

The number of electric vehicles (EVs) in Belarus is rapidly growing due to their environmental benefits, lower maintenance costs, and affordability compared to internal combustion engine cars, Sputnik informs.

🔹 Total EVs in Private Ownership: 20,700 (up from 6,400 in January 2024)
🔹 Annual Growth: More than tripled in a year
🔹 Charging Stations: Increased by 30%, reaching 1,323 stations (up from 1,015 in 2024)

By 2028, Belarus plans to install 838 new charging stations, with 359 in Minsk and 479 across the regions. Additionally, by 2035, 35 ultra-fast charging stations will be introduced, including locations in Minsk and along major highways (R-23, M-1, M-4, M-6, M-10).

Some ultra-fast stations are already operational in Minsk, allowing vehicles with a 300 km range to charge in just 10-15 minutes.
