Belavia introduced changes in rules for hand luggage

According to the new rules from May 15, soft travel bags for carrying clothes and goods from Duty Free must be checked in luggage or packed in hand luggage. It is now impossible to transport them in addition to hand luggage, "Sobiray Rukzak" reported.

According to the rules of Belavia, you can additionally take one of the following items in your hand luggage: a handbag; a briefcase, a backpack, a case with a laptop, a camera, or a video camera, a folder for papers, one piece of outerwear, an umbrella or a cane, a bouquet of flowers, printed publications for reading in flight.

The airline also introduced color-coded hand luggage at check-in counters:

  • Blue tag is for suitcases on wheels or large bags (no more than 10 kg, size 55x40x25cm), which must be placed on the upper luggage racks of the aircraft.
  • Green tag is for backpacks and handbags (no more than 5 kg, size 40x30x10 cm), which must be placed under the seat in front of the chair.

The changes are related to international requirements for safety on board, as well as for the comfort of passengers.
