Belavia returns to Qatar: charter flights from Minsk will resume in March 2024

Belavia Airlines is reopening charter flights from Minsk to Doha, Qatar, starting in March 2024, as the Republican Union of Tourism Organizations (RSTO) informed Sputnik.

This step follows the successful launch of flights in March 2023, which was originally planned until June, but was extended by two months.

The Belarusian tour operator and Belavia plan to start a new tourist season in Qatar on March 4, 2024 with the first departure from Minsk. The flight program will cover the period until the end of October, with the possibility of further extension. The flights will be operated on Boeing 737-800 aircraft, and the travel time is expected to be about six hours.

RSTO stressed that the issue of resuming flights to Qatar was supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the country's embassy in Doha. Qatar is becoming a popular destination for Belarusian tourists, offering a variety of leisure activities, including active, beach and sightseeing holidays. The cost of tours starts from 4,700 Belarusian rubles for two, providing a variety of resorts to choose from, such as Mesaid, Al-Ruwais, Al-Wakrah and Al-Shamal, for 10 days.
