Belavia will ban the transport of animals in connection with the pandemic

The Belarusian airline Belavia has banned the transportation of animals on charter flights during coronavirus, reports tut.by. What caused the changes in rules and how long will it last?

Due to the epidemiological situation, Belavia suspended their work for several months. But now countries are gradually opening their borders and flights are resuming. However, some restrictions on air travel continue to apply. Thus, passengers are prohibited from transporting animals on charter flights.

This rule was brought about by the fact that if a passenger is prescribes for quarantine or self-isolation because of a coronavirus infection in the country of destination, not all countries have the opportunity to provide appropriate conditions for pets.

The changes in rules came into force on July 8, 2020.
