Belavia will continue to cooperate with Brazilian Embraer
A few years ago, Belavia leased three aircraft of the latest generation from the Brazilian company "Embraer", but due to sanctions they were returned back. Now the company has announced that it will continue to cooperate with Embraer, Sputnik reported. Let us remind you that from October 25 Belavia resumes regular flights to Turkmenistan.
On Wednesday, October 19, the Brazilian ambassador met with the CEO of Belavia. The Ambassador expressed hope that international sanctions against the Belarusian carrier will be lifted. Then the companies will be able to resume cooperation.
Before the sanctions were imposed, Belavia and Embraer had been cooperating for 8 years. In 2020, the Belarusian carrier leased three aircraft of the latest generation Embraer 195-E2. At the beginning of 2021, there were 14 Brazilian-made aircraft in the company's fleet.
