Beltelecom is ready to install video surveillance in all residence buildings in Minsk

Beltelecom is ready to equip al multi-storey residence buildings in Minsk with CCTV cameras in the amount of 100 thousand pieces at its own expense. Residents will have to pay monthly for the service, devby.io writes.

It will take 2-3 years to install cameras in all houses in Minsk. The project will be implemented if video surveillance becomes the main housing and communal service.

There are only 6.4 thousand apartment buildings in Minsk, of which 1.8 thousand are already equipped with video surveillance. To equip the entire multi-apartment housing stock with video surveillance systems in sufficient volume, 100 thousand cameras are needed. The company is ready to install all the equipment at its own expense.

Tenants will need to pay a subscription fee of BYN2.3 per apartment per month. Access to the images from the cameras will be online. The records will be stored on the server for at least 30 days. Housing and communal services componies will also have access to the video.
