Biathlon competition among school pupils will be held in Vitebsk

The regional stage of the Snow Sniper biathlon competition among children and teenagers will be held in Vitebsk from 24 to 29 January, BELTA writes.

About 350 children from 9 to 14 years old will participate in the competition. The youngest participants will walk 1.8 km, and the older ones will have to overcome the track for 3 km.

The peculiarity of these competitions is that athletes go the distance without weapons: air rifles will be on the shooting range, where a representative of the team will load a sports equipment.

Snow Sniper competitions have been held in Belarus since 2007. Finalists receive prizes from the Presidential Sports Club.
