Biologists found key threats to flora of Belarus
At a press conference, the head of the Laboratory of Forest Ecology and Dendrochronology of the National Academy of Sciences spoke about the current problems of the Belarusian flora, Minsk-News reported.
Scientists conducted systematic monitoring of plants, fungi and lichens in Belarus and identified the main threats to the flora. The most dangerous are invasive species, climate change and the nature of land use.
An increase in temperature by one and a half degrees led to the expansion of alien harmful species. The consequences affected even protected plant species. Only 35% of the observed populations are stable, the rest are subject to negative processes.
Let us remind you that the capacity of the waste recycling plant in Minsk is planned to increase by 6 times.
