BLIZKO money transfer system will stop working in Belarus from February 20

From February 20, 2020, the BLIZKO international money transfer system will stop working. This is the only Bank through which it was possible to make or receive money transmission on the territory of Belarus, reports tut.by.

BLIZKO is a Russian money transfer system that also operates in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Moldova. Payments are accepted in three currencies-dollars, euros and russian rubles, and you can send and receive money transmission without opening a bank account.

In addition to the BLIZKO system, Belarus also operates such international money transfer systems as Western Union, Golden crown, Unistream, MoneyGram, Rio Money Transfer, Contact, Kolibri and Faster. According to the national Bank, in the second quarter of the year Belarusians received 75.9 million dollars of money transfers from abroad through these systems.
