BSU has developed an application for ecological travel in Belarus

The BY Guide app contains more than 300 ecological trails and bike routes in all regions of the country. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that you can choose a route taking into account the capabilities and physiological characteristics of visitors.

The resource contains hints for whom this path will suit — people with visual impairment or in a wheelchair, families with children and animals, writes the BSU website.

Each trail is accompanied by a description, photos and a GPS track. In the future, it is planned to develop audio guides and include in the application a system for recognizing birds singing and animal tracks.

A beta version of BY Guide is now available on Google Play. The custom version will appear during January 2022.

This is the first such application in Belarus. The project has already become a finalist of the Belarus Green Awards 2021 competitions and the winner of the first All-Belarusian youth competition Startup Heart.
