BSU has developed more than 50 routes to places of military history of Belarus

The project includes dozens of excursion routes to places in Belarus where the most famous and significant events in history related to military campaigns have taken place since 1812, the website of the Belarusian State University writes.

The chronicle of the Great Patriotic War occupies a central place in the project. The emphasis is on interesting and forgotten facts. The list also includes undeservedly forgotten battles of two world wars: Naroch Golgotha (1916), Dnieper Frontier, Lepel Counterattack (1941), Bobruisk Boiler (1944). The Forgotten Legacy of the Great War Route is dedicated to the battle in the First World War with the participation of the women's death battalion near the village of Novospassk (Grodno district).

To develop routes, the university staff analyzed and described more than 500 objects that reveal the panorama of the memory of the war years of Belarus.

In the future, information about excursions is planned to be translated into Chinese and English. The presentation of the project will take place on February 9 (K. Marksa str. 31, room 210) in the framework of the  Women Scientists of Belarus round table. The route data will be stored in the BSU.
