BSU has risen in international QS ranking
The Belarusian State University improved the results by 100 positions and remained the only representative of Belarus in the QS subject ranking. Updated Quacquarelli Symonds lists have been published in 46 scientific areas and 5 fields of knowledge, the university's website writes.
BSU has risen by 100 places in the Physics and Astronomy subject rating and entered the group 351-400. In total, 1,562 universities have been declared in this category that have fulfilled the requirements for the number of publications. The growth of the rating is due to the improvement of the reputation among employers and an increase in the number of citations of scientific publications.
Also, for the first time, BSU is ranked in the Natural Sciences subject rating. Here, in addition to assessing the reputation of the institution, the average number of citations of scientific publications and the Hirsch index, the degree of internationality of research is taken into account. The University ranked 384th out of 1503.
BSU is the only university in Belarus that has been present in the QS subject rankings since 2017. They are developed to help students choose universities in the areas of interest.
