Care centers: "kindergartens" for the elderly
Day care centers for the elderly, called "kindergartens," have opened in Belarus, Sputnik writes.
They are intended for retirees with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
Here, elderly people spend their time doing creative activities, master classes and walks.
The institutions are based on the Italian model and are managed by neurologists, Mikhail and Claudia Selitsky. Their goal is to maintain the activity and social connections of the elderly, while maintaining their mental health.
