Chagall’s “The Walk” exhibited in Minsk for the first time
One of Marc Chagall’s most famous paintings, The Walk, has been brought to Minsk and is now on display at the National Art Museum, according to Onliner.
Created in 1917, the artwork depicts the artist and his wife Bella and symbolizes love and freedom through the motif of flight.
The painting is part of a triptych alongside Double Portrait and Above the City and is normally housed in the Russian Museum. Its transportation required strict climate and handling conditions.
The exhibition also features VR installations and educational events. Visitors can view the masterpiece until early July.
