Construction of a plant for the production of a vaccine against COVID-19 has begun in Belarus
The construction of a plant for the production of a vaccine against COVID-19 has begun in the Vitebsk region, the Minsk-News agency writes.
It is planned to release the vaccine in 2023. The experimental batch of the vaccine has passed preliminary tests. Now the process is at the stage of development of production technology, after which it is planned to release a pilot batch of the drug.
The vaccine will be inactivated; it is an analogue of the Chinese vaccine Sinopharm. In its origin, it is exactly the same. The only difference is that Belarusian vaccine is based on strains that circulate on the territory of Belarus.
The Belmedpreparaty company is responsible for the release of the vaccine, where the active component is manufactured. The BelVitunifarm company will bottle the finished medicine.
